Stand for the Silent
On Wednesday, August 26th, our students and staff will attend a special Stand for the Silent assembly here on our campus. We wanted to make families aware ahead of time, as this presentation covers important topics for our students. A separate Parent Square message will be sent with additional information about the presentation.

Keep Checking PowerSchool
As we get further into the school year and more grades begin to be entered, please make it a habit to check your child's PowerSchool regularly. If you have a question or concern about a grade, assignment, or classroom need, please reach out to your child's teacher first. Your child's teacher is the best place to start and can work directly with you to answer questions and find solutions to support your child.

Be Safe. Be Kind. Be Respectful.
Each day, we remind our Broncos of three simple expectations: Be Safe, Be Kind, and Be Respectful. As we settle further into the school year, our teachers are beginning to write citations for smaller classroom disruptions, and we have processed some referrals in the office as well.

Accountability is important, but our goal is also to help students learn from their choices and make a better choice the next time. Families, you can help us by reminding your student to keep their hands to themselves; no horseplay and stay out of drama, including drama that begins or continues on social media.

Middle school comes with lots of opportunities to learn and grow, and we appreciate your partnership in reinforcing these expectations at home. Together, we can continue building a safe, kind, and respectful La Plata!

We have another full week ahead, and we look forward to cheering on our Broncos, celebrating great attendance, and ending the week together at our Back to School Dance!

Have a great Week 3, Broncos!
